Russian volcano erupts on the eastern Kamchatka Peninsula and sent ash 20,00 feet into the air. there are 29 active volcanoes in the area. The last major eruption was around 3,500 years ago. This volcano is known as the Koryakski volcano which is one of over 150 volcanoes on the Kamchatka Peninsula. Video on BBC news.

In May 2007 the nearby 15,580-foot Klyuchevskoy Volcano erupted sending ash into the air and causing a hazard to air traffic at the North Pacific Rim area. The eruption continued for 3 days with lava flowing on the eastern flank.

Commercial jets fly daily across the North Pacific carrying passengers and cargo through this volcanically active area. In December 1989 a Boeing 747 jet with 231 passengers flew into an ash cloud at 100 miles north of Anchorage Alaska causing all four engines to stall. the jet and terrified passengers fell for 12 minutes and lost 10,000 feet altitude and fortunately the pilot was able to restart the engines and safely land in Anchorage without any serious injuries but with extensive damage to the engines.

The seven deadly sins are:

The seven deadly sins, also known as the capital vices or cardinal sins, are a classification of the most objectionable vices that were originally used in early Christian teachings to educate and instruct followers concerning (immoral) fallen man's tendency to sin. They are: lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride. The Catholic Church divided sin into two principal categories: "venial", which are relatively minor, and could be forgiven through any sacramentals or sacraments of the church, and the more severe "capital" or mortal sin. Mortal sins destroyed the life of grace, and created the threat of eternal damnation unless either absolved through the sacrament of confession, or forgiven through perfect contrition on the part of the penitent. Beginning in the early 14th century, the popularity of the seven deadly sins as a theme among European artists of the time eventually helped to ingrain them in many areas of Christian culture and Christian consciousness in general throughout the world.
